For the first time since 2002, the BTCC returned to the Donington Park Grand Prix circuit layout for its latest rounds of action. Ash Sutton came into the meeting with a lead of 37 points over Tom Ingram following a highly successful event at a rain soaked Knockhill in the previous meeting, with Jake Hill a further 13 behind Ingram.

BTCC 2023 – Croft Recap
The British Touring Car Championship returned to action at Croft after a six week rest to recharge the batteries. Ash Sutton had been the star of the opening half of the season and he held a six point lead over Tom Ingram in the standings. However, the previous meeting at Oulton Park had been the first time this season that a NAPA Ford had not won a race, after they had won nine of the previous twelve, with a BMW taking the chequered flag each time.
